Inam is one of the leading professionals in the field of Business Development, Performance Consulting, Human Resource Development and Retail Management in the country. Having been associated with several well-known brands and companies, his key areas of strength include identification and development of opportunities for small and medium sized enterprises, and family firms.

An Electrical Engineer, Inam has worked in design and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for industrial and commercial projects. After his MBA, he has concentrated on business development for both local and international brands in Pakistan. He has key skills in startup operations like the setting up of Value Chicken (now K&N’s Chicken) and turnaround operations like Nirala Sweets. Before starting his own business he was managing international brands like Hugo Boss, Armani Collezioni, Swatch® watches, and Red Earth for Pakistan.

He is now adjunct Faculty at LUMS, teaching at the Undergraduate, MBA and Executive Education level. His major areas of focus include Mathematics and Statistics, Business Management, and Organizational Behaviour. He is also on the admissions committee for LUMS and is actively involved in various initiatives by LUMS.

Inam has experience of directly hiring over 800 people in a wide spectrum including frontline staff on one end and senior management on the other. This includes hiring for small enterprises as well as top of the line management resources. As an Executive Search consultant, Inam has been involved in hiring for top companies like Pepsico, Warid Telecom, Dawood Group, J.E. Austin, and Pakistan Dairy Development Company to name a few.

Inam is based in Lahore and runs his own Management Services and Performance Consulting business under the name Inam ur Rahman & Associates, advising clients on Business Development, HR and Entrepreneurship. He is also significantly involved in Training on Personal Development, Sales, and Customer Satisfaction.

Inam has also been published in the book “Managing NGOs in Developing Countries”, (Oxford University Press ISBN13: 9780195471434) where he has discussed the Marketing of NGOs in Pakistan. He has also been a regular feature writer in DAWN newspaper on various professional development issues.
